Due to the COVID-19 situation, our clinical procedures have changed to help ensure patient and practitioner safety. Please read appointment guidelines below.

Notice for Patients regarding Masking in Stage 3 at our Clinic:

The Alberta Government is still working through Public Health Requirements moving forward, but has advised all regulated health professions that Masking will continue to be required in AHS and Covenant facilities.  With this information we will continue to require all staff and patients to wear a mask at the clinic until we receive further directive from our Regulatory College and the Alberta Government.  We thank everyone for their patience and understanding.

APPOINTMENT GUIDELINES:

  • Please review our Clinic COVID-19 Assessment prior to your appointment. (You will receive an email 2 hours before your appointment that contains a COVID-19 screening questionnaire that MUST be completed before your appointment):

  1. Have you been directed by Alberta Health Services or the Canadian Border Services Agency to quarantine? Individuals who have been directed to quarantine must not be in the practice setting at any time, as that is a violation of their quarantine requirements.

  2. Do you have these symptoms currently?:

    • a fever?

    • a new or changed chronic cough?

    • a sore throat that is not related to a known or pre-existing condition?

    • a runny nose that is not related to a known or pre-existing condition?

    • nasal congestion that is not related to a known or pre-existing condition?

    • shortness of breath that is not related to a known or pre-existing condition?

    • a recent loss of sense of smell or taste?

  3. Have you had unprotected close contact with individuals who have a confirmed or presumptive diagnosis of COVID-19? (e.g. individuals exposed without appropriate PPE in use).

A “yes” to any of these questions would require that the patient delay care until they are confirmed negative for COVID-19 or have not been directed to self-isolate or quarantine. If you answer “Yes” to any of the above questions, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC.  We ask that you contact to cancel your appointment.

  • Social distancing, hand washing/sanitizing, and practicing proper coughing/sneezing etiquette will be crucial.

    • Please maintain six feet of distance between you and other people, wash your hands often, and cough or sneeze into your elbow.

    • It is also a good idea to avoid touching high-touch surfaces such as light switches, counter tops, and door handles whenever possible.

  • Please do not arrive too early for your appointment. We will be trying to stagger the number of people in the clinic and will be asking patients to wait in their vehicle until they are notified that they can come in.

  • Do not bring other people with you to your appointment unless absolutely necessary.

    • If you need someone to help you with mobility, interpret for you, or the patient is under the age of 18, then you may bring someone with you, otherwise please make every effort to attend alone.

    • If someone else drives you to your appointment and does not need to come in with you, please ask them to wait in the car.

  • Payments can be made by debit or credit card. We will not be accepting cash or cheques at this time.

    • We will sanitize our debit machine after each use.
